Image Bearer Project

Sometimes, I think God uses repetition to help us grow in following him.

Over the winter months, a certain phrase kept reappearing. I was reading my Bible one morning, and I read that I am to be an image bearer of Christ. That phrase stuck out to me — “image bearer.” Not long after, I was listening to a podcast, and again I heard it: “image bearer.” I was reading a book, and sure enough, there it was again.

“Just as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the man of heaven.” - 1 Corinthians 15:49

We are made in God’s image, but what does this mean? How are we to bear His image better? I want to learn how to do this more in my life, and I want to help others do this as well.

I want to intentionally find more ways to display who Jesus is to others, especially to someone in need. This could be someone down in spirits and struggling, a mom who just had a baby, someone grieving — anyone in need. Four times a year, we will choose a woman to help, and the help will be specific to her needs. I’ve contacted other businesses to get involved, and my hope is to surround this woman with tangible love in whatever ways we can. This might include jewelry for a lost loved one, or maybe a website to help a business take off, or perhaps a few accessories for a confidence boost.

This new endeavor is called the Image Bearer Project. If you follow the link, you’ll see a form for you to nominate someone who would be blessed by lots of love and support. The identity of both the nominee and nominator will be kept confidential.

God has given me this wonderful business and blessed us in so many ways. I’ve said before that we give because He gives! You can see here some of the opportunities we’ve had to be generous — for which God has always provided. I want the Image Bearer Project to be another way to display the love and mercy of our God!

In His love,
Bekah
