People Behind RSD: Tanya Carlson
A few years back, we had a seamstress on our team who mentioned that her best friend’s mom loved to sew. And then in comes Tanya, and oh, she is sew much fun!
Her purple hair shows off her personality, both her humor and her kindness (it is to honor her sister’s battle with cancer). I’m always chuckling at her funny text messages, and I love hearing about her grandkids and her vacations with her husband.
One thing that cracks me up — Tanya is always one of my best customers! She likes the work she works on, which is just great. Also, she is just a diligent, talented seamstress. I often send people to her for training because she is so thorough, and she’s a great teacher as well.
I am so thankful Tanya is on our team, and I’m eager for you to get to know her a bit from the interview below!

Favorite place you’ve traveled: We travel to Florida beaches every other year and alternate with California wine country or the Pacific Coast. We are water and wine people.
Is there a specific way working at RSD has had an impact on your life?
I love being able to work from home, and sewing is really a relaxing time for me. And running into other women with RSD bags is so fun, and it brings me out of my shell a bit when I can speak to a stranger about how we both love our gal pals!!
