People Behind the Purses: Bud Eggers
As many of you know, all my bags are named after important people in my life — so far, important women in my life. But now, finally, I have been able to come up with a bag to honor my dad!
Poppi, my first camera bag, is named after “Papa Bud,” who is a talented amateur photographer. I love that I’ll be able to think of my dad as I tote my camera around this summer at baseball games! And here are a few questions my dad answered to help you all get to “the man behind the purse” a bit better.
How do you know Rebekah?
I have known Rebekah since I held both of them (with her twin sister) in my arms shortly after delivery.
Give us a brief bio of yourself.
I farmed most of my life so our kids grew up helping me doing chores, helping during calving season, and all the other daily events involved with farming. We enjoyed riding horses, camping in the Black Hills, church camp, photographing their school events and biking.
Do you own “Poppi?”
I do not own a Poppi currently. You might say it is in production.
What are some of your “favorites?”
I enjoy working with horses; you might say they are my passion. I also enjoy building things, such as small motorized machines, hunting, and gardening.
Do you have a quote or motto you live by?
As we grow older we realize the importance of family and friends, and life will throw a curve at you now and then. So 1 Thessalonians 5:17 is a prerequisite to being able to handle those “curves.”
1 Thessalonians 5:17: “Pray without ceasing.”
