Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
How exciting is this? I have a blog now! I am just so excited to start writing and filling you all in on the details of Rebekah Scott Designs. I have to mention first that this Tuesday, Feb. 24th at 4:30 is my ribbon cutting ceremony for joining the Chamber of Sioux Falls. I can’t wait for this “crowning” moment. I have been in business for five years now, but feel like this is somehow a “rite of passage” and a big milestone for five years. It could not have come at a better time. I am hoping to expand my line to more accesories and some clothes eventually, so yes, all very exciting. I am serving wine and cheese and great merchandise:) It is at the Museum of Visual Materials in downtown Sioux Falls. The address is posted on my website, http://www.shoprsd.com, along with their website to get directions. I hope to see a lot of customers there. I have a special I am offering to say thanks to everyone who has cheered me on, 15% off for all return customers! So pick out the new styles-Genesis, Emerson, Gaylin, Christie, and Trixie, and the new fabrics. The possibilities are endless as well the choices!
Also, I have to mention the new stores I got into! I just put about 8-10 purses into Hip Chic and Serendipity Salon. They are both downtown Sioux Falls on Phillips right across from eachother. They both have the new styles and fabrics and a great selection. I also placed some of my new scarves in Hip Chic. They are square scarves that look very urban -chic. I love they way they update a look and appear very cutting edge with no effort involved! Hey, if all you have is a gray t-shirt, throw a scarf on and you are instantly noticeable. I love it!
I have Big News that has been a huge vision of mine for quite some time. I am being featured on the cover of a magazine! Women Inc. will have my face gracing the cover on their April Issue! (Yah, I know I am as nervous as I sound, but really excited too!) Super fun, and I had a great time at the photo-shoot. I had Jael photography from Brookings SD take the photos and she is one talented gal. We have been friends for some time now, and she is unbelievably talented, and I am so lucky to snag that talent for the cover! So be on the look-out for the magazine, the website is http://www.women-inc.com, and it will tell you where there are copies available and how to subscribe. God is so good and is blessing my socks off!
And as if there was anything else I should mention, I have started Guest Speaking. I really enjoy sharing my story of how I started and then also talking about how to pursue your own passions and visions and really seeing them happen before your very own eyes. I love seeing people get motivated to change their lives and to utiliize their God-given talents and really make a difference in their lives and others.
So yes, some big changes and lots of new things happening for Rebekah Scott Designs. (Boy, I like the way it sounds) Hope to see you Tuesday at the Ribbon Cutting!
So here I am signing out my first blog, I have to go check this off my list of things I will accomplish in my lifetime, here I come list!
