Thankful for 39 Years

thumbnail image for blog post: Thankful for 39 Years

IMG_1691.jpegThis is counter-cultural for sure, but I love aging! Each year marks growth and evidences of God’s grace in my life. Birthdays are such a great time to reflect on the ways God has blessed me, and January 21st — my birthday — simply marks the beginning of one more year to glorify him!

I also love birthdays because I get to celebrate with my twin sister, Sarah! Each year, this means shopping, Chinese food, and loads of laughing. This year it might include an adventure, like a hiking or canoeing trip. We haven’t decided yet!

Because I’m turning 39, I thought I’d list out 39 of my favorite things. You’ll notice I love things that are simple and timeless. I rarely introduce new products into my life because I really appreciate consistency. So here are 39 things I’m thanking God for this year, and hopefully this inspires thankfulness for you, too.
