Make Gift Giving About Relationships this Christmas

I love November for the weighty anticipation in the air. The nights are darker, warm drinks taste extra satisfying, and Christmas music plays at all hours — in my house, at least! As we get closer and closer to the Christmas season, I am filled with nostalgia and an eagerness for what this year may hold.

I can remember my mom pulling all nighters to finish sewing her Christmas gifts. And she never complained — she loved it! I used to beg to stay up to see what she was sewing. Now, I get to pull my own all-nighters. ;)

At RSD, we actually start planning for Christmas in the summer, and we finalize our plans in October. And now is when we sew, sew, sew! Over the years, we have fine-tuned how we can help you enjoy giving creative, personal gifts, and I think you are going to love what we have for you this Christmas.

Holiday Gift Guide

I say this humbly and with thankfulness: our 2024 Gift Guide is fabulous! We lay out the pages to suit every budget, as well as every scenario. So if you are looking for inexpensive stocking stuffers, we have you covered. If you are looking to find the perfect gift for the college student, traveler or hard-to-shop-for dad in your life, we have that too.

We spend a lot of time categorizing our products to make it very easy for you to shop handmade and local, and I can’t wait to see what you come up with.

Holiday Shop

Think of the Holiday Shop as your quick shopping stop, packed with great gift ideas. You’ll see lots of festive red and green colors, with some glitter and metallic leathers thrown in. Our chapstick holders are back, which are always a stocking-stuffer fave! This year we have heat/cold packs with adorable flannels — you just have to check it out.

So Many Deals and Giveaways

If you think you’re not a winner, you will be with us! Starting December 1, we begin our annual 12 Days of Giveaways. Make sure to tune in live on Facebook each day at noon to enter for that giveaway. And if you want to be in-the-know about what to look forward to, make sure to join our VIP texting list.

And this time of year, I can’t forget to mention …

PINK FRIDAY AND BLACK FRIDAY

Pink Friday is just TWO days away, and I am so thankful for this newer tradition. As a small business owner, I am really excited that the nation has given us our own promotional holiday.

For Black Friday, we of course have tons of specials and live videos planned, but in November, Pink Friday is what really makes my heart sing. As a small, local business, we may not be able to offer two-day shipping, but we can offer a personalized note with a bag designed for your needs.

Shopping local is relationship-driven, and it reminds us we are still a community — no matter what our differences may be. It puts people above speed and convenience. Giving at Christmas shouldn’t be just about the amount of gifts you can give, but about the thought you put into your gifts.

And if you want an idea for a particularly special and thoughtful gift …

Encourager Cohort

The Encourager Cohort is a new 10-week coaching program that I’m so excited about. It’s as close as I can get to one-on-one coaching with women to really understand their individual callings, and to help them excel in their roles.

We will start in January with a live guided course, and there are seven spaces remaining. This might be the perfect gift for the special woman in your life who is looking for help, encouragement and accountability.

Or, maybe you are feeling a nudge to pursue this yourself. Consider it a Christmas present for you, or maybe just a way to get a super strong start on the new year.

I love my Encourager Academy, and it’s a great way to start with coaching. But if you are up for a deep dive and want more individualized coaching, the Cohort just may be the perfect option.

The Countdown

Christmas is just 35 days away! (I know, how is it possible?) So, to close, I just want to encourage you to give personal gifts by shopping small and local as much as you can, and take advantage of Pink Friday to save some money while you do it. (And for RSD, Pink Friday is still before our custom order deadline, so you can still play around with your designs.)

Pour into people and show them your love as best you can! I pray you enjoy all that this season brings — the planning, the shopping, the parties, the hosting, the baking, the decorating — and that it would all help you to worship Christ more.

Love,
Bekah
