People Behind the Purses: Sarah

As many of you know, I have a twin sister, and she’s been my partner in crime since day one. Sarah Jensen is the most spunky, stylish and sweet girl I know, and I am so blessed to have her as a sister and as a best friend!

It goes without saying that I’ve named a purse named after her. Sarah (the purse) is a cute little purse that looks just like Jill, only a smaller size. I like to say she's small in shape but large in personality — much like my sister! ;) Make sure to check the Sarah purse out on the website to get a closer look!

As much as I love telling you about the Sarah purse, I am even more excited to tell you about my twin sister. Keep on reading to learn a bit about her from this Q&A session!

Tell our readers a little bit about yourself.

I have been married to Kirk for 2 1/2 years, and we live in Volga. I have been a preschool teacher at Colman-Egan School District for the last 3 years, but I’ve been teaching for 8. I also teach water aerobics at the SDSU Wellness Center 2 times a week, and of course I work for Rebekah as a sales rep and roadie.

We don’t need to ask how you know Bekah, but tell us one or two of your best childhood memories together.

We loved playing Barbies, and I remember Bekah cutting my Barbies some new clothes or stapling Kleenex’s for clothes. She also cut one particular Barbie’s hair to match my short hair.

Bekah and I were always very physically active. We loved playing outside with endless games of soccer, Annie “I” Over, and any games with a ball. One time, Bekah threw my shoe on the roof because we couldn’t find a ball, and when it didn’t go over the roof like it was supposed to (in the game of Annie “I” Over), I had to go get it down from the second story. Good thing I wasn’t afraid of heights!

What are some things you like to do in your free time?

Free time … hmm, unfamiliar word to me, but I do like to squeeze in time to cross stitch, usually a stocking for a niece or nephew, and READ!!!

How many RSD purses do you own? Do you have a favorite?

12! I just fell in love with my new Sarah — no, not because it is named after me, but because it is small enough to be a quick grab, but large enough to hold my Nook and other essentials.

Do you have a favorite RSD fabric?

I love any of her fabrics with yellow!

What do you like about the new purse named after you?

I love her size and outside pockets.

As a sales representative for RSD, what is something you appreciate about being a part of Bekah’s business?

I was able to pay off my student loans with my earnings from Rebekah!

Last question: What is one item you must have in your purse at all times?

I need my cosmetic bag filled with all the little essentials, like lip-gloss, band-aids and everything in between.
